Frequency Asked Questions (FAQs)
Answers to questions about this product...
This freezer is well suited to shops, cafés, convenience stores and food service sites that need frozen products clearly visible and readily accessible. Its 492-litre gross capacity and three baskets provide substantial storage for ice cream, packaged frozen food or promotional stock, while the robust commercial design is intended for busy environments with regular customer or staff access.
The sliding glass lid allows customers and staff to view frozen stock without fully opening the cabinet, making it practical for self-service ice cream and frozen-food displays. The lid also provides straightforward access for replenishing baskets or serving products. Static cooling maintains the specified operating range of -16°C to -19°C for frozen goods.
Allow room for the freezer’s installed dimensions of W1570 x D610 x H905 mm, plus suitable clearance for positioning and opening the sliding lids. Check that the intended location can accommodate a 220–240V power supply. For delivery access planning, the packed dimensions are W1605 x D710 x H960 mm, and the unit weighs 76 kg.
Yes, castors are fitted, so the freezer can be repositioned more easily for cleaning, layout changes or seasonal merchandising. It is also lockable, which can help restrict access to stock when the premises are closed or when products need to be controlled. Position it on a stable, suitable floor once it is in its working location.
The freezer has a C energy rating and uses R290 refrigerant, an environmentally friendlier refrigerant option. For dependable day-to-day operation, keep the sliding glass lids and interior clean, avoid overloading the baskets, and maintain the required temperature range. The Vestfrost DFG505 includes a three-year parts and labour warranty, providing cover for the stated warranty period.
