Key Features

1030mm Surface - Open Both Sides
The 1030mm roller is open at front and back, allowing large flatwork to be fed continuously. Bedding, tablecloths, duvet covers and wide garments pass through in a single movement rather than being folded and re-fed section by section.
5 Fabric Temperature Settings
Five preset steps from 70°C for nylon up to 190°C for linen. Operators select the correct setting for the fabric type and the machine maintains it consistently - correct results on every fabric, no risk of scorching.
3 Steam Modes
Three steam modes including continuous and on-demand give operators precise control over moisture. Heavier linens benefit from continuous steam; lighter fabrics can be handled with on-demand bursts to prevent over-wetting.
Foot Pedal Roller Speed
Roller speed is controlled by foot pedal, keeping both hands free to guide fabric. Heavier fabrics can be slowed for longer contact time with the heated surface; lighter fabrics pass through faster for higher throughput.
230V Plug & Play
Standard 230V single-phase UK supply - no 3-phase installation, no specialist commissioning. Plugs into a standard outlet and is operational immediately. Castors allow easy repositioning within any laundry room or utility area.
Sit or Stand Operation
Designed for use from seated or standing position - practical for extended ironing sessions or operators who cannot stand for long periods. Fixed frame means no setup between uses; the machine is always ready.

When a Roller Iron Outperforms a Hand Iron

For flatwork - bedding, pillowcases, tablecloths, napkins, duvet covers - a roller iron is considerably faster than hand ironing. A hand iron requires the operator to repeatedly reposition fabric, smooth out wrinkles and work section by section. A roller iron feeds the entire item through in a continuous motion, pressing the full width in a single pass.

At 1030mm wide, the IS1103 handles standard single and double bedding, restaurant tablecloths and most commercial flatwork in two or three passes. For small hotels, B&Bs and restaurants that iron bedding and linen daily, the time saving is significant. The 230V plug-in supply means it can be added to any existing laundry setup without rewiring.

Frequency Asked Questions (FAQs)

Find quick answers to common questions about this product.

Yes, it is designed for small commercial operations processing regular quantities of flatwork rather than the volume of a large industrial laundry. Its 1030mm working width suits bedding, pillowcases, napkins and restaurant tablecloths, while the compact footprint helps where laundry-room space is limited. It is a practical option for businesses wanting faster, more consistent finishing than hand ironing.
The machine operates from a 230V, single-phase, 50Hz UK supply and is described as plug-and-play. It does not require a three-phase electrical connection or specialist commissioning, making it easier to add to an existing utility or laundry area. Buyers should still confirm that a suitable standard outlet is available in the planned operating position before delivery.
It is best suited to commercial flatwork, including single and double bedding, duvet covers, pillowcases, tablecloths, napkins and wide garments. The roller is open at both the front and rear, so larger pieces can pass through continuously instead of being repeatedly folded and repositioned. Most standard bedding and restaurant linen can be completed in two or three passes.
Five preset temperatures from 70°C to 190°C allow operators to match heat to nylon, silk, wool, cotton or linen. Three steam modes, including continuous and on-demand options, provide moisture control for heavier or lighter items. The foot-pedal speed control leaves both hands free to guide linen and lets staff slow the roller for thicker fabrics or increase speed for lighter pieces.
Routine care should focus on keeping the ironing surface and surrounding feed area clean, checking the 1.9L water tank is filled as required, and following the manufacturer’s instructions for water quality and any descaling procedure. Because steam is used, appropriate water care helps limit scale build-up. Allow the machine to cool before cleaning or carrying out routine checks.
