Our water filter housing kit is an ideal way to introduce fresh quality tasting drinking water to everyday life, removing murky looking and poor tasting water. Even tap water that is safe to drink can contain particles and contaminants. The unit is a one-off investment as you can buy replacement cartridges that are easily removable from the water filter housing unit.

Our water filter housing kit is easy to fit, but nevertheless, we recommend that it is installed by a competent plumber.

It is particularly relevant for offices, factories and farms needing a replaceable cold-water filter arrangement. By improving incoming water quality, it helps support equipment exposed to sediment and other unwanted water-borne impurities.
The bundle includes one filter housing, fixing bracket, housing spanner and two 5-micron, 10-inch water filter cartridges. The housing is a longer-term installation, while the cartridges are consumable components. Having two cartridges supplied provides an initial replacement on hand, which can be useful for businesses that want to avoid interruption when the first filter reaches the end of its service interval.
The housing fits into a cold-water line and uses 3/4-inch BSP female inlet and outlet connections. It has a maximum working pressure of 5 bar and a maximum water temperature of 30°C. Although the kit is designed to be straightforward to fit and includes a fixing bracket, installation by a competent plumber is recommended to ensure suitable pipework, secure mounting and correct connection.
The 5-micron cartridge is designed to remove dirt and sediment particles, reduce chlorine content and improve unpleasant taste or odours in water. This makes it useful where visible particles or water quality may affect drinking water or equipment fed from the cold-water supply. It is a sediment and contaminant-reduction filter, so buyers should assess their local water conditions when planning wider water-treatment requirements.
Cartridges should be replaced at least twice a year, although poorer water quality may require more frequent changes. The compatible replacement is a 10-inch by 2.5-inch, 5-micron Speedypress cartridge, specified for use with the Speedypress filter housing. Regular replacement helps maintain water flow and filtration performance, especially where an iron boiler or other equipment is used routinely.
