Frequency Asked Questions (FAQs)
Answers to questions about this product...
This service is intended for commercial steam irons and steam boiler systems only. It is suitable where limescale is affecting professional ironing equipment used in settings such as laundries, dry cleaners and garment-care operations. Please contact TIECO before purchasing so the engineers can confirm that descaling is appropriate for your particular equipment.
Reduced steam output, poorer ironing results and unreliable performance can indicate scale build-up in a commercial boiler or iron. Limescale can restrict internal water and steam pathways, making it harder to achieve consistent finishing. An inspection helps establish whether cleaning is likely to resolve the issue or whether a repair is required instead.
The service includes professional descaling of both the steam boiler and iron, followed by a strip-down, internal inspection and thorough cleaning. Technicians then performance-test the equipment before it is returned. This approach addresses scale deposits while also allowing the condition of internal components to be checked.
Collection and return are included, so your commercial steam iron and boiler can be sent to TIECO for servicing without arranging separate transport. Most jobs are completed and returned in approximately five working days. Actual timing may depend on the equipment condition and whether an inspection identifies issues requiring further attention.
Any additional repair costs are quoted separately if the inspection finds worn pipework or components damaged by excessive limescale. No extra work is carried out without your approval. The final descaling cost also depends on the size and specification of the boiler and iron, and is confirmed after inspection before work begins.
