Frequency Asked Questions (FAQs)
Answers to questions about this product...
It is designed as a direct fit for Magpie 5-litre British Ironing Boiler and Iron systems, Easy Steam British Double Ironing Boiler and Irons, Casoli steam iron systems, and Ironmaster boiler iron systems. It does not fit LELIT branded irons. If your iron is a different model, confirm compatibility with TIECO before ordering.
Yes. The Teflon surface diffuses direct contact heat to help protect silks, synthetics, dark wools and embellished garments from scorching, melting and press marks. It is particularly useful where a polished shine on trousers, skirts or dark fabrics would spoil the finished appearance.
The shoe slips over the existing iron soleplate in seconds, without tools or permanent modification. This allows an operator to fit it when pressing sensitive materials and remove it when a direct soleplate finish is preferred. Check that the iron model is compatible before fitting.
The non-stick Teflon surface is intended to glide over fabric with less drag, helping the iron move smoothly across garments. Its main finishing benefit is reducing the risk of scorch marks and unwanted sheen, which can reduce avoidable rework in tailoring shops, dry cleaners and commercial ironing services.
It is a practical addition for businesses regularly finishing suits, trousers, skirts, delicate synthetics or dark garments where heat marks are costly to correct. It protects fabric during pressing but does not replace correct temperature selection, careful handling or checking the garment care label before ironing.
