Reviews (1)

Is this suitable for daily use in a busy commercial laundry?

Yes, it is designed for professional settings needing sustained ironing rather than occasional domestic use. Its 5-litre stainless steel boiler provides approximately 4–5 hours of continuous steam, making it suitable for regular linen and garment finishing in hotels, care homes, dry cleaners and small commercial laundries. Buyers should match this operating period to their peak workload and staff schedule.

What electrical supply should be confirmed before installation?

Confirm that your site can accommodate the combined 1500W boiler element and 800W professional iron element before ordering. The supplied specification does not state the voltage, plug type or phase requirement, so these details should be verified with the supplier or a qualified electrician. This is particularly important when replacing domestic ironing equipment in a commercial work area.

How should the boiler be maintained to support reliable steam production?

Routine care should include monitoring the water level through the sight glass, avoiding operation at a low water level and draining the boiler using the ball lever drain valve as part of cleaning. Because this is a steam-generating boiler, water quality and scale management are important for long-term performance. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning and any descaling procedure.

Which safety features help protect the operator and boiler?

The unit includes a safety release valve, automatic pressure cut-out and low-level protection to help prevent excessive pressure, overheating and dry boiling. A pressure gauge allows the operator to monitor boiler pressure during use, while the silicone iron rest provides a designated place to set down the hot iron. These features support safer day-to-day operation but do not replace normal staff training and supervision.

When would the larger semi-automatic version be a better choice?

The semi-automatic model with an additional 10-litre tank may be more appropriate where teams need longer steam availability between water-management tasks. It is worth considering for businesses with extended shifts, consistently high volumes or limited opportunities to pause production. The 5-litre version is a practical choice when approximately 4–5 hours of continuous operation suits the working pattern and available space.
