Before ordering, confirm that the host unit has a free solenoid valve connection or that an existing iron connection can be replaced.
No, this attachment requires a separate compatible steam generator or ironing boiler to operate. It does not produce steam independently and is intended to connect to a Snail, Magpie, Easy Steam or Minuteman system. Buyers replacing an iron should check that the existing boiler connection can be used for the brush.
It is particularly useful for fur, leather and other delicate garments or materials where direct contact from a heated iron soleplate could be unsuitable. The brush can also remove surface lint and help lift crushed pile, making it relevant to upholsterers, garment-care businesses, costume departments and specialist finishing work.
It can be used in place of an iron for suitable finishing tasks, especially delicate materials, pile fabrics and lint removal. However, buyers should consider the result required: a steam brush is designed for non-contact steam finishing rather than creating the firm, flat pressed creases normally produced by an iron on shirts, trousers or flat linen.
The brush has a latching steam switch, allowing steam to be held on for continuous use rather than requiring the operator to keep the control pressed.
